Mr A. Smith
Having made do with a poor quality patio for 14 years we turned to Alexandra Gray Garden Design to turn the area into an attractive terrace, whilst being functional enhanced the appearance of the house and garden. Closely working with Alex, during the design phase the brief was met and exceeded, not only the design but also the planting programme. Alex also suggested and advised in materials and sourcing. We are thrilled with the finished product which has made the terrace a much used area of the garden, and a major feature.

Lady A. Stirling
In 2015 I bought a house with a small garden which had overgrown flowerbeds and more weeds than grass. It has since been transformed by Mrs Alexandra Gray who designed and drew plans for a courtyard garden with flowerbeds and a pergola, a deck and spaces for pots; it is lit at dusk with LED lights and I am delighted with it. She found the right builder, oversaw the work with frequent visits, and helped source plants. She also redesigned my narrow front garden into a lawn with a lavender hedge. She designed and drew plans for a garage (and oversaw the building of it) I am very pleased with the result and recommend her highly.
Mrs A. Buckley
Alexandra Gray has helped us on many occasions with various garden projects. Her expertise and professionalism as a garden designer is exemplary. She has a superb knowledge on plants and has a tremendous creative flair for design and with these two skill sets, she has never failed to impress with the end result.
Mr T. Buckley
Having recently completed a lifetime ambition to build our own home a key consideration for us was the garden design and the way the house interacts with the outside. Alexandra designed and project managed the landscaping and planting programme surpassing all expectations, We would have been lost without Alex's knowledge and vision. The garden looks amazing (first growing season) and we look forward to watching it mature. A great job thank you Alex.
Mrs K Pedersen
We took on a very untidy piece of land, which has been transformed into an elegant garden incorporating the splendid views of Bath. Very imaginative, easy to maintain and a sheer delight for the occupants.
Mr V. Madden
Alex has transformed our garden. It has colour throughout the seasons and the textures and range of plants are a delight.
Mr G. Briggs
Alexandra Gray was in the process of designing the garden of Ormonde House at the time that we purchased our flat. Her design and its implementation have proved to be excellent and contribute enormously to the pleasure of living here. There is an annual Bath in Bloom competition here in Bath and our garden has won a gold award – including the highest (Horticultural Achievement by any Communal Group Overall Winner). Working with Alex has been very satisfying; she has quite transformed the garden at Ormonde House. The process involved discussion and the development of a preliminary garden design – both hardscaping and planting – followed by further discussion leading to the final design and its implementation. This was carried out very professionally with minimal impact on normal daily life. We are now living with the result at the beginning of a second summer and could not be more pleased.
Mrs P. Church
We had a steeply sloping and wide back garden, with good views, and planting down each side. The aim was to make the slope easier to manage and to somehow join the various bits together. Alexandra came up with an excellent design for a level area halfway down the bank, which didn't distract from the view of the countryside from the house, which was another requirement. She organised all the construction, within our budget of £10,000. We found her very easy to work with and have been pleased with the result ever since. Never having considered using a garden designer, but failing to solve an apparently intractable problem, we eventually thought we'd give it a go. I was impressed by the quick way Alex understood what we wanted, and we were both thrilled by the design she produced, which we would never have thought of ourselves.
